As soon as you see this photograph you will probably make a decision on whether you like the look of the accommodation immediately, or within 5 seconds. It is safer to carry travellers cheques than cash or you can try credit cards but don?t use these to draw out money, similarly check with your own bank before you depart to see how much they will charge for getting money out abroad. If you are carrying travellers cheques make sure you leave a copy of the serial numbers with a trusted family member or friend with the telephone number for the country you are staying in that you would need to call in the event of losing them or them being stolen.
If you are thinking about renting a villa and you don?t have children simply avoid school holidays. If you do have to go in school holidays try not to go in the first 2 weeks as this is the busiest time of year and demand is at its highest. Try to go in June, early July or late September. This will make it cheaper plus if you have friends or family that have children you can get them to water the plants as they will not be able to go on holiday.
Most villas will have outside cooking areas. This can be great for entertaining just a few people or to be a relaxing family event. Most of the local supermarkets will be able to provide you with food to cook on an outside cooker or BBQ if that is what you like.
If you live in the UK the government has tried to make it better for children by having school holidays start slightly earlier or finish slightly later so would it offset the cost to fly from a non local airport.
